Aaron P. Baker

I’m Aaron Baker, Principal Consultant and sole proprietor of The Baker Group HR Management, where human resources meets human storytelling. With over 15 years of experience across corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial sectors, I specialize in building HR systems that are as strategic as they are soulful. My work spans high-volume recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and the creation of mythic brand personas that elevate company culture.

My HR journey began at ADT Security Services, where I learned the fast-paced rhythms of operational HR. I went on to serve at The University of Kansas Physicians and The University of Kansas Hospital, where I led training, diversity, and employee relations initiatives—eventually overseeing 250+ staff as Interim Assistant Administrator for the OBGYN Department. Later, I transitioned into Employee Relations, where I served as the sole specialist supporting over 2,500 employees—part of a workforce of more than 25,000. In that role, I navigated complex workplace dynamics, resolved sensitive issues, and helped shape a culture rooted in respect, accountability, and strategic care​.

I hold a Bachelor’s in Human Resources Management and a Master’s in Human Resources Development. Personally, I value courtesy, respect, and work/life balance. I believe people should work to live—not live to work—and that every employee deserves a workplace that honors their humanity.

Though I’m now based in Oklahoma City, I spent 15 years in Kansas City and travel wherever I’m needed—unless my dog insists otherwise.
